SAN JUAN POOLS NATION'S OLDEST AND LARGEST MANUFACTURER OF FIBERGLASS POOLS AND SPAS
Company Manufatures Products at Plants in Lakeland, Florida and Eloy, Arizona; Boasts Nationwide Dealer Network

LAKELAND, FL -- San Juan Pools is the nation’s oldest and largest manufacturer of one piece fiberglass swimming pools and spas. Based in Lakeland, Florida and with plants in Lakeland and Eloy, Arizona, San Juan markets its high quality fiberglass swimming pools through a network of nearly 500 authorized independent dealers from coast to coast. The Lakeland plant serves customers in the south, midwest and up and down the east coast, while the Arizona plant serves the west coast, the Rocky Mountain states and other areas west of the Mississippi.

“Our two strategically located plants, coupled with our extensive dealer network, give us excellent coverage throughout the United. States,” said Kirk Sullivan, president of San Juan Pools. The company offers 50 models of fiberglass pools in a wide variety of shapes and sizes. All San Juan fiberglass swimming pools are carefully designed to meet the specific needs of the end user. For example, some are designed specifically for relaxation while others are geared toward swimming laps, water aerobics, diving, games and sports like volleyball and water hockey or combinations of these various activities. “Over the year, we’ve made a practice of listening to the market. All of the pools in the San Juan arsenal were developed with plenty of input from the pool buying public and reflect the needs and desires of our customers,” Sullivan said.

In addition to being flexible and serving a wide range of functions, pools by San Juan save homeowners time and money. Here are just some of the added advantages of owning a San Juan fiberglass pool:

No resurfacing -- the fiberglass surface of each San Juan pool is designed to last a lifetime. This is in sharp contrast to concrete which requires expensive resurfacing periodically;

Economical to operate -- a San Juan fiberglass pool saves up to 70 percent on chemicals and 30 percent on electricity;

Maintenance free --the non-porous surface of a San Juan fiberglass pool is easy to clean. The smooth finish and rounded corners do not chip, tear or harbor bacteria and algae. This spares the homeowner the nasty chore of acid washing;

Rapid installation -- the molded one piece construction of the San Juan brand fiberglass pool guarantees an easier and speedier installation. A typical San Juan fiberglass pool can be completely installed and up and running in less than two weeks;

Variety -- with more than 50 models, San Juan is unmatched when it comes to variety. San Juan Pools is a pioneer in the fiberglass pool manufacturing business having begun operations in 1958 in the Seattle, Washington area. The company derived its name from San Juan Island near Seattle. The company’s headquarters and main manufacturing plant were moved to Lakeland, Florida by its former owner and president, the late George Sullivan, father of Kirk Sullivan.

A marketing genius, George Sullivan was the first fiberglass pool manufacturer to add ceramic tile to the fiberglass pool’s interior water line and to introduce creative decking styles, i.e., raised bond beams, spillover spas, waterfalls, etc. George Sullivan also developed the blueprint for San Juan’s extensive dealer network and pioneered design changes that allowed fiberglass pools to be stacked for shipping. Thanks to his ingenuity, 10 fiberglass pools can now be shipped at one time even though some models are four stories high.

Over the years, San Juan Pools has built and installed more than 50,000 in ground and above ground fiberglass pools for residential and commercial customers from coast to coast. A member of the National Pool & Spa Institute, San Juan markets its products through its nationwide dealer network.
