Enrico raised these “big bucks” for Big Brothers/Big Sisters by donating a Hawaiian model San Juan fiberglass pool for a silent auction run in connection with the Joe Schmidt Celebrity Golf Tournament. The pool was the most valuable item donated for the silent auction.

The successful bidder, Paul Forsberg, will have the Hawaiian pool installed by 2nd Wind at his plush lakeside home in Long Lake, WI.

“Because we are very sensitive about giving back to the community, we are very much involved. The silent auction donation is just one of the ways we help,” Enrico said, noting that the firm also provides sponsorship support for a group called Youth Frontiers, which offers retreats for school age kids.

The silent auction was held in the Minneapolis Convention Center while the golf tournament was played on two courses -- the Hazeltine National Golf Club and the Bunker Hills Golf Club. The events raised a combined total of $400,000 for Big Brothers/Big Sisters.

In addition to donating the Hawaiian model pool, Enrico purchased a corporate table for the silent auction. The friends Enrico invited to share the table contributed a total of $40,000 in silent auction proceeds.

“We commend Dick Enrico for making such a big contribution to his community,” San Juan President Kirk Sullivan said. “We are also elated to see how popular the Hawaiian was with bidders in the silent auction.”
