The target completion date for the 80’ x 125’ metal building, containing five additional production bays and designed to increase production to 12 pools per day, is early in 2003.

“We are looking forward to the new year and the additional space for manufacturing that the expanded plant will provide,” said Dan Clause, manager of San Juan’s Lakeland production facility. “This expansion is long overdue and will enable us to meet the strong market demand for our high quality fiberglass pools now and well into the future.”

Clause said the new facility will enable the company to “streamline operations” in Lakeland. “The end result will be a much more efficient use of all of our available space at the Lakeland production facility,” Clause said, adding that the addition will give San Juan a total of 65,000 square feet of production and office space under roof in Lakeland.

This is the latest San Juan initiative to boost production. Early in 2001, the company opened a new plant in Eloy, Arizona and three years ago completed another expansion in Lakeland.
